Good Minus - Minor edgewear/cover rip @ binding corners /Cover creases / page tanning /name on inside page; Clint Morgan was a giant of a man! Single-handed he had carved the Sombrero—largest spread in the county—out of arid wilderness, and single-handed he ruled it, wielding more power with each passing year. But Clint had a weak spot that threatened to topple his hard-won empire: a love for a woman he couldn't have. Clint's foreman, Kehoe Lamb, had been away with the Confederate Army when the rancher fell in love with Mary Lamb. And when Kehoe returned the evidence of his wife's infidelity had been inescapable—an infant had been bord. Kehoe had refused to step aside; and rather than lose Mary completely, Clint had allowed the child to be sent east to stay with Mary's relatives, and kept the vengeful foreman on at the Sombrero. For eighteen years they lived in that triangular Hell, held in check only by the magnetic forces of love and hate. But suddenly the volcano threatened to erupt at last, with a violence that had been building for a generation...for the son, Morgan Lamb, had come back.
